Bio
Dr. Salazar initially began his involvement with cardiology while teaching medical residents and fellows at Tulane University. He loved teaching and has continued to educate through his patients. Dr. Salazar believes that it is important for a patient to learn how to embrace a healthy lifestyle and, if needed, he recommends the kind of changes that might be needed. Dr. Salazar values family as an integral part of one’s health. Living a healthy lifestyle is a family experience that can help a patient prevent problems related to the heart. Another preventative measure is having a heart screening. Stern offers screenings as well as other services. Dr. Salazar recommends that patients become part of the Stern family. Know that patients are welcome and that those at Stern Cardiovascular will provide you the best service that they can.
